Description
Femi-Yam is a liquid tincture of wild yam root and rhizome (Dioscorea villosa), long used in Western herbal medicine for women’s health. It is traditionally used to support women through perimenopause and menopause, help maintain a sense of hormonal balance, and ease crampy, colicky discomfort. Wild yam is a plant, not a hormone: it contains natural compounds such as diosgenin but no progesterone or oestrogen. Femi-Yam is standardised to a 1:3 strength with 60% alcohol. Not suitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding; speak to your healthcare practitioner first if you have a hormone-sensitive condition or use hormone therapy or hormonal contraception.
